I would definitely recommend Asiatique as a place you should visit. The place is enormous, full of restaurants, boutiques and entertainment joints. The area where Asiatique is located on Charoen Krung Road, pretty close to Rama3 and the best way to reach it, is with the BTS, station Saphan Taksin and from there with the shuttle boat to the Asiatique pier. But we are too lazy to take BTS, so we took cab from Terminal 21 to Asiatique, costs us around 150 baht, quite a distance from Terminal 21.
There are row of pubs and restaurant opposite the river.
Asiatique Riverfront in Bangkok is one of the new shopping and lifestyle places located along the Chow Praya River here. Styled in multiple classic huge old warehouses, this place was formally known as the East Asiatic Company Limited which was one of the active trading warehouses in the colonial period supplying teak wood to the world. TCC Land Thailand obtained the entire warehouse area and converted it to become one of the trendiest lifestyle places in Bangkok to date.
The concept of Asiatique combines cultural heritage and modern lifestyle. Colonial styled buildings and spacious walkways and open spaces give it a pleasant charme where people will not only come for shopping but also to spend some nice time.
Asiatique shopping area selling a mix of furniture, home decorations, clothing, accessories, and many souvenir shops for tourists.
The shopping area is a bit messy, not organize at all. Better not put too much hope on shopping in Asiatique because i found nothing to buy there. LOL! *still prefer platinum mall more*
Sorry for the blurry picture, can't mange to take proper picture while busy walking... LOL!
What attract me is their Restaurants, there are so many nice restaurant there.
NICE RESTAURANT NICE FOOD & NICE VIEW !!!
I really wish that i can move the whole Asiatique back to Malaysia.
I think we really need a place like this to chill and hang out so badly!!! hahahahahaha :D
Asiatique Riverside has been the place to visit as it is much more spacious, clean and carries a very large selection for shopping, food & beverage and entertainment. There's a sort of food court in the middle with several cuisines on offer.
I love the romantic atmosphere that the place exudes! You can enjoy the view of the Chaopraya river at night while eating seafood or sipping wine. How awesome is that!
With a total area of 28 acres, 12 acres have been currently utilized to house 1,500 shops and 40 restaurants and there is also a beautiful 300 meter long riverfront promenade along the famous Chao Praya River. Asiatique is open every day from 5 PM till midnight. They use Chaophraya Express Boats (regular ones, not tourist boats) for the shuttle service, so look out for express boats with red roofs and red flags on the back.
A picture of us with ULTRAMAN before we leave. Stay tuned for another Bangkok post :)
